How to create an effective digital marketing strategy

Weekly social media content calendar

Look no further for your complete guide.

We will go right to the beginning:

  1. Identify your customer persona or avatar. Who are they? Where do they hang out? What do they need? What are their problems? How old are they? Do they have family, kids, hobbies, pets etc etc etc. The more detail you have here, the better.
  2. Identify what it is you want to do? Raise awareness, sell a product, service, collect data, create an event.
  3. Identify what digital marketing strengths are already- is there anything that you can use as a lever such as a huge following on instagram or youtube? Or, do you have a weaker area that you want to strengthen? You must also ask yourself if that is where your customer persona is to be found.
  4. Decide which marketing platform would best work for your desired outcome with your customer persona. Identify if that needs to be a paid campaign or if you need to increase your content matter/ post frequency but organically (this can also depend on how soon you want the outcome to be).
  5.  If you are paying, set a budget and an end date.
  6. Create your campaign- decide if you are going to split test two different ad styles- videos or pictures?
  7. Set your campaign live!
  8. Monitor your campaign using key performance indicators- this could be the volume of calls, likes, sales, enquiries etc and this depends on your original campaign goal
  9. You can tweak if needs be but not too soon, let the campaign run a while to see how it performs.
  10. Review the outcome and decide if it was a success and something that you can ‘rinse and repeat!’

If this is too much like hard work- this is what we are here for. Simply complete the form below and we can discuss your needs and requirements.
